Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a local food sales model whereby the farmer and consumer benefit simultaneously. Consumers gain a relationship to their food and an understanding of how what we eat is really grown and brought to “market.” Full payment is given during the winter (a low income time for farmers; as well as the time when seeds and other needs are being purchased for the coming growing season) for a share of spring and summer and early fall vegetables. 2012 will be our 4th annual CSA. We will begin packing and delivering boxes in late April or early May. A share runs for 20 weeks, with 1-2 weeks taken off at the farmer’s discretion. Each box will have approximately $20 worth of produce, more whenever possible. A produce share is $415 total, optional egg share prices below.

We also have an optional pastured egg share of 1 or 2 dozen per week, adding $100 or $200 respectively ($5/dozen). Our eggs come from free-ranging breed hens on rotationally grazed pasture, supplemented with whole grain ORGANIC feed. This price of $5/dozen is $.50 off our “usual” or market price.
